Jake the builder.
Fab-u Christmas so far.
Sight seeing with the Croker-Berrys in San Francisco in great weather, game night ("Would You Rather," i.e, would you rather walk around on stilts for the rest of your life, or pink roller blades) , walking around Berkeley, buying Cal shirts on sale, shopping for grog for New Year's Eve Bash, sleeping in, hearing the kids play, really enjoying my sonic toothbrush Santa Ron brought me, playing with Hershey the cat, getting excited about the New Year. Visting with my brother and family, hanging with family, just doesn't get any better.
And the ninth anniversary of going to the Tilden Park Christmas Merry Go Round. The first time when Jake was just six months old, spun around in his baby bjorn, eyes wide open. We were just happy he didn't spit up. Still feel the same nine years later.
We've spent most of those merry lit up nights on the carousel with Liz, Stella and family, some of my dearest and oldest friends. Stella is only nine months younger than Jake and adorable. I told her she should come over to play sometime and I would do her hair. It's gorgeous. Girly girl that she is, said with a big smile on her face, "OK!!!" We girls are so easy to please.
Two more days of 2008. It's been a good year, but 2009 is going to be awesome.
